Maldives and UAE reiterate commitment to further strengthen and diversify existing relations between the two countries. The commitment was made during a meeting held between President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of UAE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, the crown prince reassured of commitment for continuous support to Maldives, especially in the areas of fisheries, farming and agriculture.
The meeting was held on the margins of the Zayed Sustainability Awards Ceremony held in Abu Dhabi. The president presented the Zayed Sustainability Prize to one of the 10 winners of the 11th edition of the award. The awarding ceremony was part of the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2019.
