Japan assures full support in achieving goals of administration

Ambassador of Japan to Maldives Keiko Yanai has assured of the cooperation of the government of Japan in achieving goals of the government of Maldives. The Japanese ambassador made the assurance at a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem.

During the call held at the President's Office, the ambassador praised the success of the government's 100-day agenda and conveyed assurances of full support and cooperation in achieving the goals. Meanwhile, the vice president acknowledged and extended deep appreciation for Japan's generous support and assistance provided to Maldives over the years. He also expressed interest to promote the Maldives as a tourism destination in Japan.

The ambassador and the vice president discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between Maldives and Japan on a range of bilateral issues, placing special emphasis on the areas of trade, education, sports and health.

Furthermore, Ambassador Keiko Yanai and the Vice President Faisal Naseem exchanged views on identifying potential areas of mutually beneficial investment opportunities for Japanese businesses in Maldives.
