Ministry of Higher Education has revealed any kind of educational fair can be held in Maldives after attaining a permit.
In a statement, the higher education ministry stated any educational fair or open day can be held with the permission, if it is not held by a registered higher education institution or an institution established under laws for educational purposes. Noting the decision was made by Department of Higher Education last year, the newly formed higher education ministry added the decision is still in effect.
Furthermore, the ministry highlighted the decision was made to ensure the courses and programmes that are promoted in fairs and open days are conducted from institutions accepted and approved by the government.
Moreover, higher education ministry revealed any sectors such as health and aviation which are run with separate licenses must ensure the programmes are accepted by relevant authorities before promoting any such programme.
