Project to establish water supply facilities in Eydhafushi completed

Senok Trade Combine Private Limited has completed the project to establish water supply facilities in Eydhafushi in Baa Atoll.

The Sri Lankan firm was contracted the project to be completed within seven months. However, the duration of the project was increased to 1 year and six months following the issues faced as the project continued.

As part of the project, a 16-kilometre water network was established in Eydhafushi, along with a RO Plant with the capacity to produce of 192 tonnes of water per day. The project funded by OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) cost over USD 2.837 million.
