Elections Commission of Maldives has opened opportunity to submit applications to contest in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Speaking at a ceremony held to launch the official logo and colour of the Elections Commission, President of the commission Ahmed Shareef said opportunity is now opened for political parties and individuals to submit applications to contest in the elections.
264,589 individuals are eligible to vote in the parliamentary elections to be held on April 6, according to elections commission.
