Elections Commission reveals deadline to submit applications to run for parliamentary elections

Elections Commission has revealed the deadline to submit applications to run for the upcoming parliamentary elections is February 21.

At the ceremony held at Hotel Jen to inaugurate the new logo and colour of Elections Commission, the electoral body officially opened opportunity to submit applications to contest in the elections. Although, the ceremony was concluded without announcing the deadline, which according to member of Elections Commission Ahmed Akram was due to a confusion.

Elections Commission has revealed 264,589 individuals are eligible to vote in the parliamentary elections to be held on April 6.
