President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed has participated in the zero plastic run.
Along with the president and first lady, Vice President Faisal Naseem and other senior government officials also participated in the event. The aim of this run is to increase awareness about the harm to the environment by using single-use plastics.
The run was organised by ICS Maldives Private Limited and was held in Hulhumale'. Over 742 kilograms of plastic waste was collected during the run, which will be disposed by environmental friendly methods, according to the organisers.
