President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed two Deputy Ministers to the Ministry of Higher Education. In this regard, Ismail Zabeeh and Aishath Shafina were appointed to the higher education ministry as deputy ministers.
Ismail Zabeeh holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of West of England. He has previously served as a Lecturer at Mandhu College and Managing Director at International Chain Maldives Private Limited. He also has previous work experience as the Senior Research Officer at President’s Office.
Aishath Shafina holds a Master of Development Studies from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is now doing her PhD in Sociology from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She has previously served as a Consultant/Regional Manager at Education First Maldives. She also was served as Bureau Chief at Mandhu College, Maldives.
