Maldives confident close friendship with China will strengthen and develop further

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has said China has been a close development partner of the Maldives.

In his message of felicitations to Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi, on the occasion of the Chinese Spring Festival and New Year 2019, Minister Shahid thanked the people and the government of China for the continued assistance to Maldives. He expressed confidence the close friendship between China and Maldives will strengthen and develop further in the year ahead.

On conclusion, the foreign minister wished for the continued progress and prosperity for the friendly people of China.
