Former Sri Lankan President pays courtesy calls on President Solih

Leader of the opposition, former President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa has paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

During the meeting, held at the Opal 5 in Colombo, both leaders spoke on the long existing cordial relations between the two countries.

Earlier in the day, President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed received a grand welcome from the government of Sri Lanka, at a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. He is on a three-day visit to Sri Lanka on an invitation from President Maithripala Sirisena.
