Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Abdulla Shahid has expressed confidence the friendship and cooperation between our two countries will be further strengthened and enriched in the years to come.
In a message sent to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand Winston Peters, on the joyous occasion of Waitangi Day, Foreign Minister Shahid said Maldives and New Zealand have always shared close bilateral ties, based on mutual respect, understanding and goodwill.
Further, the foreign minister extended warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to the government and the people of New Zealand. He also wished for further progress and welfare of the people of New Zealand.
