Vice President Faisal Naseem has assured all high level posts positions will be held by Maldivians by the end of the five-year term of the administration.
Speaking to the citizens of Hoadehdhoo as part of his current trip to Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, Vice President Faisal highlighted foreigners work in Maldives securing high level positions, adding the administration has plans to ensure senior positions are held by only Maldivians. He stated a door has been opened by the administration for locals by implementing tuition-free first degree education and many other vocational training programmes.
During the visit to Hoadehdhoo, the vice president met with the island council and inquired about the challenges faced by the island citizens. In this regard, the council members highlighted electricity issues, harbour damages, incomplete housing projects and some issues faced by students. The vice president said solutions for some issues are now underway.
Assuring the administration will ensure the solutions are permanent and visible, the vice president noted the administration envisions solutions which are sustainable, especially in projects related to citizens.
