New Maldivian Ambassador to India presents credentials

The new Ambassador of Maldives to India Aishath Mohamed Didi has presented her Letter of Credence to the President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

At a grand ceremony held today at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Presidential Palace, Aishath Mohamed Didi also presented the Letter of Recall of her predecessor to the President of India.

During the call, following the Ceremony, His Excellency the President of India congratulated Ambassador Aishath Mohamed Didi on the commencement of her term and conveyed greetings and good wishes to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives. Ambassador Aishah expressed sincere appreciation on behalf of the government and the people of Maldives for the continued assistance from India in the socio-economic development of the Maldives. She assured the commitment of the government and the people of Maldives to further enhance the close cooperation with India.

Ambassador Aishah is the fifth resident Ambassador and also the first ever female Ambassador accredited to India to represent the Maldives, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries, on November 1, 1965.
