President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed the friendly match played is the only the beginning of the opportunities in the pipeline for the Maldivian cricket team.
Speaking after the match with India team was played as part of the India-Maldives Friendship Cricket Series 2019, President Solih said the Maldivian team performed well, adding the players made the best use of the match played against an India team which featured Indian international cricketer Yuvraj Singh. He assured to provide more opportunities for cricket players during his presidential term.
The president and the vice president also featured in the friendly cricket match played in Male' City.
