President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has urged the relevant authorities to quickly conclude the investigations on the individuals connected to the corruption case of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
Speaking at a campaign event held by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), President Solih said the amount embezzled from MMPRC is numerous and it is important to conclude the investigations and raise charges against those responsible.
The president noted it is vital for the peace and security of the country to clear the names of the people who are not involved but who are allegedly involved in the largest corruption scandal in recent history of Maldives. He further expressed disappointment that Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) did not publicise the investigative report on the case earlier.
