President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met island council members of the Vaikaradhoo in Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office, members of the council shared their concerns and future development projects planned for the island. The councillors especially noted the challenges faced due to shortage of space at the Haa Dhaalu Atoll School, lack of sanitation services in the Island and electricity issues faced by the Island. The councillors also requested to relocate the power house in the island.
During the meeting, President Solih stated the administration would take necessary action after discussing with the relevant ministries. He further informed all the projects allocated for the island in the state budget will commence as planned.
