Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi has attended International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEC) held in the Abu Dhabi. The defence minister attended IDEC, as part of the visit to UAE on invitation from Vice President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al-Makhtoum.
Regarding the conference, Minister Mariya said IDEC had many expert contributors from all over the world, adding many interesting perspectives were put forward by the distinguished panellists. Delegations from 32 countries are attending the 5-day conference.
Minister Mariya is due to meet many high level dignitaries and discuss the enhancement of the defence sector of Maldives and identify areas where UAE can further assist Maldives.
