MMPRC was the largest dossier and the most strenuous investigation: ACC

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has stated the commission decided to publish their report regarding the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) corruption scandal, based on the political shift in the country.

Speaking on a show aired on PSM News, Vice President of the ACC Muavviz Rasheed said, the commission was the target of criticism for concealing its findings with regard to the case, including criticism from politicians at various fora. He said, however, ACC held back from publishing the report immediately as the case was an issue of public interest.

Muavviz said the MMPRC dossier was the largest ever investigated by the commission and that it was a strenuous task. He said although it began as an attempt to seek the level of corruption involved, various other issues also surfaced as the investigation progressed. He listed forgery, money laundering and deceit as some such issues.
