Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali has revealed in the future city schools across the country would be operated by an education board, which would have representation of the city council. The minister made the statement at a meeting held with the Fuvahmulah Island Council, during her trip to the city on Friday.
The education minister revealed a unit of Ministry of Education would be established in the city council to work closely with the schools. She expressed hope that decentralizing school operations would bring positive changes.
Furthermore, the minister added changes would be brought to the civil service structure to establish education units in local councils.
