Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has commenced upgrading the water system of Male' City.
It is a complaint of the residents of Male' that the households do not receive water in enough pressure. In efforts to solve the issue, MWSC has decided to embark on a project worth over USD 1.55 million to upgrade the water system.
Speaking at a press conference, Deputy Development Manager Mohamed Sameer revealed the project will be conducted on phases.
The water network established in 1994 was installed to cater a population of about 80,000. MWSC said it works diligently to serve the nation through the provision of basic utility services of water and wastewater.
