President reiterates commitment in fulfilling pledges

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has reiterated commitment in fulfilling the pledges made during his campaign for the presidential election, expressing gratitude towards all who helped in securing the presidency. President Solih made the remarks at campaign gathering held in his home island, Hinnavaru in Lhaviyani Atoll.

Speaking at the gathering held by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), President Solih expressed he is well aware the pledges made before assuming office must be fulfilled as it is the base of his presidency. He reiterated efforts to ensure a corruption free society which serves justice for the citizens.

Moreover, the president reminisced the pledges made in his campaigns last year. In this regard, he revealed every day is a day spent towards achieving the promises made to the people.

Noting the hardest and biggest compromises were made by MDP, Jumhooree Party (JP) and Adhaalath Party (AP) to elect him to office, President Solih assured to always work together to the best of his abilities with the coalition partners. He reiterated the aforementioned parties hold a close bond with the government.
