Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed the establishment of sewerage system in the adjoined islands of Addu City will be concluded within one and half months.
MTCC has stated 90 percent of the sewerage project conducted in Maradhoo, Maradhoo Feydhoo, and Feydhoo of Addu City has been completed. As a part of the project, MTCC is required to develop 38 kilometres of sewerage network in the adjoined islands. Moreover, 6 pump stations will be placed in Feydhoo, while sewerage pipes will be placed in 2,500 households of Maradhoo, Maradhoo-Feydhoo and Feydhoo.
The project funded by OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) cost more than USD 8 million.
