Efforts to create unrest with bilateral partners to be not given any chance

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has underlined efforts to destabilise the country and create unrest with bilateral partners will not be given any chance. The president made the remarks addressing a campaign event organised by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) held at Naifaru in Lhaviyani Atoll.

During the ceremony, President Solih said all legal obstructions to freedom of expression have been eliminated since he assumed office, adding the administration will ensure the right to voice out. However, the president appealed to refrain from misusing the freedom of expression ensured in the constitution. In this regard, he assured efforts to destabilise the nation and create unrest with bilateral partners will not be tolerated or accepted by the administration.

Moreover, President Solih spoke on the development agenda for Naifaru, revealing plans for land reclamation, building housing units and transformation of the atoll hospital to a tertiary hospital.
