Government completes 83 percent of the first 100-day pledges

The administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has completed 83 percent of the pledges included in the first 100-days of the pledge policy.

Speaking at an event held at the President’s Office, President Solih noted the administration aims to fulfil 160 pledges during the first 100-days, which is counted excluding public holidays. The president 83 percent of the pledges were fulfilled during the first 90-days of the administration. He assured the administration is exerting major efforts to fulfil as much of the remaining 17 percent of the pledges in the next 10-days.

Praising the collective effort of the administration, President Solih highlighted the difficulties faced in fulfilling the pledges and noted 100-days is a short span of time to reform a system that been going from worse to worse for a number of years. The president said he aimed to fulfil numerous pledges, that are beneficial and of great importance to the people, as quickly as possible. He further added he believes good progress has been brought to the lives of the people in a short span of time.

The administration has announced the first 100-days, excluding the public holidays, would end on April 12.
