Ministry of Islamic Affairs has stated UAE has donated 600 cases of dates, to coincide with the holy month of Ramadan.
The dates would be distributed to the poor as were the dates donated by Saudi Arabia, according to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Dates would be distributed, starting Sunday.
The Islamic ministry said in distributing of dates donated from various countries, the first priority would be, poor people. Thus, one pack of dates would be given per household, for those households that have been registered at the ministry as poor.
The rest of the dates would be distributed a first come, first serve basis, according to the ministry.
