President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with the island council members of Kalaidhoo in Laamu Atoll.
At the meeting held at President’s Office, members of the council briefed the president on the most urgent needs of the citizens and the plans for the further development for the island. During the meeting, council members highlighted the people of Kalaidhoo are highly expectant of the development of a causeway bridge between Kalaidhoo and nearby Dhanbidhoo. They also highlighted the need to renovate the Health Centre in the Island, the expansion of the harbour of Kalidhoo and to build a new Mosque in the island as well.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih expressed the government would take necessary action after discussing with the relevant ministries and address the specific issues and concerns raised by members of the Kalaidhoo Island Council.
