Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has stated the Master Plan for National Development will be compiled before the end of June.
Speaking at a press conference to share information about latest preparations of Maldives Partnership Forum 2019, the finance minister said the aim of the government is to compile a long term plan and to conduct sustainable development projects under the master plan. He expressed confidence the master plan of national development will be compiled before end of June.
Furthermore, the finance minister stated the plan will detail the areas to be granted the title of city and separate projects to be conducted in each area. Information on the national development plan will be shared to the delegates attending the Maldives Partnership Forum 2019, he noted.
The master plan is compiled with the assistance from World Bank, Asian Development Fund among other such facilities, according to the finance minister.
