Vice President Faisal Naseem has met President of Kolhufushi Island Council Hussain Shamil.
During the meeting, the president of the council briefed the vice president on some of the pressing issues facing the island, in Meemu Atoll, including the need to install road lamps, issue of water sanitation in the island after the 2004 tsunami, challenges faced by lack of ferry services and the need to solve the challenges faced to the health sector in the island.
The vice president noted the concerns and indicated administration is committed to working together with the relevant ministries in finding a solution and addressing the problems laid out by the president of the council.
Moreover, the vice president reaffirmed the commitment given by the administration in working for the benefit of the people.
