President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have attended two sporting events as part on the ongoing Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) held in Mauritius.
The president and the first lady witnessed the men's beach volleyball match between Maldives and Réunion Island and the women's table tennis match between Maldives and Mauritius.
The Maldivian women's table tennis team were successful in defeating the Mauritanian team 2-0, while the men's beach volleyball team lost 2-0 to Réunion Island after a hard-fought match. The president and first lady were happy to be there to show support and encouragement to Maldivian athletes.
