Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has assured assistance to the Government of Maldives towards achieving its development agenda. The remarks were made during a meeting held between Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of AIIB D Jagatheesa Pandian.
At a meeting held at the AIID Head Office, Minister Shahid briefed on the economic agenda of the administration and exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation with AIIB.
Foreign Minister is currently in China on an official visit and is scheduled to call on Vice President Wang Qishan and State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and discuss strengthening relations between the two countries.
