President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated 4,200 housing units would be built in Greater Male’.
Speaking in a press conference held at President’s Office on Thursday, President Solih said the administration is working to complete the half-finished housing units in the region, adding new housing projects will be launched in November.
President Solih reiterated the administration aims to broaden the scope of building housing units to all islands in Maldives. He said the biggest discontent faced by the citizens is not been able to pay rent regularly as the apartments are far more expensive than most people can afford.
The administration has announced new housing projects would be conducted in Hulhumale’ phase two.
