Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services has established a special committee to advice and oversee the condition of children in foster homes.
The Shelter Management and Development Committee formed to oversee the situation of children under state care includes a total of 13 members from the President's Office, UNICEF, relevant ministries and various institutions. Gender ministry stated the committee is established for a duration of 3 years, during which the committee will meet once a year to report and discuss the matters related to children under state care.
The committee will also meet in extraordinary circumstances and officials from President's Office and gender ministry will meet every three months to discuss important issues.
