All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has held an Image Guide Therapy workshop for Maldivian doctors.
The one-day workshop was held by a team of specialist doctors from AIIMS Hospital. The workshop is held under the Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Health signed during the official visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Maldives
The first working group meeting was held on January 5. During the visit of the doctors' team, discussions were held on how the relations between India and Maldives can be enhanced in advancing the health sector. India and Maldives both highlighted the need to increase workshops, utilising telemedicine facilities and assistance in training technicians, in addition to holding research programmes.
