Male' City Council has opened the opportunity for tourist service providers to express interest to use the tourist terminal developed in Fishermen's Park.
The terminal, which was developed last year, is intended as a rest stop for tourists visiting Male', especially on cruise liners. The city council has requested tour operators, cruise line operators and resorts to express interest through a written document if they wish to use the services available in the terminal.
The terminal has been developed with a rest room, guest lounge, information kiosk, waiting area, garden, area security and free Wi-Fi services. The terminal also includes 7 general toilets, one accessible toilet for disabled people and senior citizens as well as two bathrooms.
The city council said the Fisherman's Park will retain its name despite the development of the new terminal, adding the council is working on redecorating the area adjacent to the park.
Development of the tourist terminal was contracted to Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC). The terminal was developed and handed over to Male' City Council last December.
