National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has revealed 4 fully recovered COVID-19 patients have been released upon completion of all mandatory tests.
Speaking at the daily press briefing, Consultant Physician Dr. Moosa Murad said all recovered patients are tested twice during the additional 14-day quarantine period after they test negative for the virus. He said four recovered patients have now been released after testing negative in all mandatory tests.
Dr. Murad further noted a total of 13 COVID-19 patients have now fully recovered, while 4 patients are currently being treated. Noting all four patients are in stable condition, he said the aim is to speed up their recovery.
A total of 19 individuals have so far tested positive for COVID-19 in Maldives, including 4 Maldivians.
