Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has stated the services provided by the healthcare professionals are priceless.
Speaking to PSM News, Health Minister Ameen stated health professionals are working for the safety of the whole country. The minister expressed their services are priceless, adding a price tag cannot be put on their efforts.
Health Minister Ameen lauded the bravery and passion the professionals have for the health sector and the country despite the risky situation of a pandemic. He highlighted that health professionals are working for the whole society to overcome the pandemic.
Shedding light on the economic impact of COVID-19 to Maldives, the health minister expressed the health sector will operate as usual although other sectors are seeing adjustments. He revealed efforts are underway to determine the amendments which can be made for the health sector.
Over 6,000 healthcare workers operate across the nation. This includes doctors, nurses, midwives, and other health workers.
