National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has revealed 69 individuals were released from quarantine facilities on April 17.
Speaking at the daily press briefing, Spokesperson of NEOC Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said 69 individuals were released today from three quarantine facilities after completing their mandatory 14-day quarantine period and returning double negative results for COVID-19. Mabrook also revealed tests are being conducted to release a further 111 individuals, whose quarantine periods are over.
Following the detection of COVID-19 in Male’ City, 82 direct contacts of the positive cases have been quarantined after being identified as high-risk contacts. NEOC has urged individuals who came into contact with a positive case to immediately report to Health Protection Agency (HPA).
