Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed over 2,000 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA said 54 patients recovered from COVID-19 on July 4 bringing the total recoveries to 2,030. Statistics publicised by the HPA shows 390 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
The Maldives has recorded 2,435 COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths. With the situation of COVID-19 improving, the government of the Maldives has adopted measures to ease the restrictions under different phases. In this regard, the borders of the country will be opened for visitors on July 15.
