Funeral of a COVID-19 victim in the Maldives
Health protection Agency (HPA) has revealed another Maldivian female has passed away from COVID-19.
HPA said the last death recorded was that of a 64-year-old Maldivian female, who passed away on August 17, while undergoing treatment in the ICU of Hulhumale’ Medical Facility. This is the 23rd COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.
The first COVID-19 death was recorded in the Maldives on April 29. So far, 17 Maldivians and 6 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in Maldives.
The Maldives has detected 5,785 COVID-19 cases since March 7. Currently, there are 2,413 active cases in the country.
