Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) has revealed individuals undergoing home quarantine in Hulhumale’ can now get their exit samples collected at Hulhumale’ Flu Clinic.
Speaking at a press conference, Spokesperson of HEOC Dr. Fathimath Nazla Rafeeq said arrangements have now been made for individuals undergoing home quarantine in Hulhumale’ after coming into contact with a COVID-19 case. Dr. Nazla said such individuals can now get their exit samples collected at Hulhumale’ Flu Clinic at the end of their 14-day quarantine period. She added the flu clinic will provide the service between 1500hrs and 2100hrs daily.
The spokesperson said individuals under home quarantine will be notified via a text message when they need to get their exit samples collected. She said there were some difficulties in sending the text notifications during the past two days due to a system error. However, she said the issue has now been resolved.
Exit sampling facilities have now been established in both Male’ and Hulhumale’ for individuals undergoing home quarantine. However, exit samples of elderly people and individuals with serious illnesses will be obtained by the Rapid Response Team (RRT) who will be visiting their households.
