Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed another individual has passed away from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA said the latest death recorded was that of a 62-year-old Bangladeshi male, admitted in Dharumavantha Hospital. This is the 26th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives. It is also the second COVID-19 death recorded in the last 24 hours.
The first COVID-19 death was recorded in the Maldives on April 29. So far, 19 Maldivians and 7 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in Maldives.
The Maldives has detected 6,564 COVID-19 cases since March 7. Currently, there are 2,526 active cases in the country, including 166 patients who have been hospitalised.
