Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has called on businesses to clear goods which have been brought to Male' Commercial Harbour.
MPL has given a period of 7 days to clear the containers which have remained in the port for a long time. MPL has also publicised the information such as container number, date which the container arrived in the port and the type of goods in the containers which are pending clearance. MPL said the goods will be removed in accordance with the regulations, if not cleared by the end of the 7-day period.
MPL said if for any reasons the goods are not sold during the bidding process, the owner of the container will be billed for the expenses of disposing the goods.
