Maldives records 28th COVID-19 death

Health protection Agency (HPA) has revealed a 73-year-old Maldivian male has passed away from COVID-19.

HPA said the male passed away while undergoing treatment at Hulhumale’ Medical Facility at approximately 0515 hours on August 25. This is the 28th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.

The first COVID-19 death was recorded in the Maldives on April 29. So far, 21 Maldivians and 7 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in Maldives.
