Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed a 58-year-old Maldivian female has passed away from COVID-19.
HPA said the female passed away at 0355am while undergoing treatment at Hulhumale’ Medical Facility on September 13. With the latest death, the COVID-19 death toll of Maldives has risen to 32. So far, 25 Maldivians and 7 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in Maldives.
Maldives has reported 9,052 COVID-19 cases which include 1,966 active cases and 7,055 recoveries. HPA revealed 116 COVID-19 patients are currently admitted in hospitals.
Statistics from the HPA show that 28 islands and 25 resorts have active COVID-19 cases.
