Noting Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) projects are ongoing in all but a few islands in the Maldives, the minister said the approximate value of all projects contracted by the current administration is close to USD 380 million. He added a large number of projects are currently being conducted simultaneously in multiple islands, despite the challenges faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking further, the finance minister said the aim of the administration is to broaden the economy, adding several projects have been launched to fulfill the economic pledges of the administration. He noted the administration utilises foreign grants and loans to launch important projects for economic progress and prosperity.
