Maldives records 42nd COVID-19 death

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed a 57-year-old Maldivian male has passed away from COVID-19.

HPA said the male passed away at 1424hrs on November 14, while undergoing treatment at Hulhumale’ Medical Facility. This is the 42nd COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives, and the fourth in November. So far, 34 Maldivians and 8 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

As per the statistics of HPA, there are currently 826 active cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives, including 52 patients admitted in medical facilities for treatment. A total of 12,112 cases have been reported in the Maldives since COVID-19 was first detected in the country on March 7.
