MTCC completes development of Fuvahmulah Ring Road

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the development of Fuvahmulah City Ring Road.

MTCC was contracted with the development of Fuvahmulah Ring Road in June 2019. As part of the project, MTCC has developed 20,650 square metres of road area, along with 2,950 metres of walkways. The project included asphalt paving, concrete paving and installation of road signs and street lights. The project cost USD 2.4 million.

While MTCC has completed the development of the Ring Road, the company is currently undertaking the project to develop the major internal roads of the city. As such, MTCC is currently developing 31 internal roads of Fuvahmulah, with a project scope which includes asphalt paving, installation of street lights and road signs as well as the construction of a stormwater drainage system. MTCC stated the target is to complete the project by the end of 2021.
