Maldives State Shipping (MSS) has revealed the cargo ferry from Cochin, India has docked in Kulhudhuffushi with 700 tonnes of goods.
The cargo ferry service between Kulhudhuffushi and Cochin was launched on September 26, 2020. MSS, which acts as the local agent for the service, stated the latest cargo ferry to arrive in the Maldives has docked in Kulhudhuffushi with 700 tonnes of goods, mostly containing construction materials and general consumables. Noting this is the fourth cargo ferry that arrived in Kulhudhuffushi under the newly launched service, MSS said the number of goods have increased with every new ferry.
MSS further stated the opportunity is open for individuals and companies looking to bring in goods from Cochin, India. As such, MSS said arrangements to bring in cargo from Cochin can be made through the company’s hotline or email.
The cargo ferry service between Kulhudhuffushi and Cochin is expected to bring many commercial benefits to the northern atolls and help to introduce Maldivian products to the Indian and international market.
