MTCC commences asphalt paving in major roads of Ungoofaaru

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced asphalt paving in major roads of Ungoofaaru, Raa Atoll.

MTCC has revealed 70% of the road construction project in Ungoofaaru has been completed. MTCC said the project includes construction of 16,488 square metres of asphalt-paved roads in the island. The project also includes installing a stormwater drainage system, streetlights, speed breakers and traffic signs.

The project to develop the major roads of the island to modern standards was launched in June 2019. The project was contracted to MTCC for USD 1.94 million.
