Vaccination to take place between 2100hrs and 2300hrs during Ramadan

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has stated COVID-19 vaccination will be carried out between 2100hrs and 2300hrs during the month of Ramadan.

HPA stated vaccination will take place at night during Ramadan. As such, HPA said vaccination will be carried out from 2100hrs until 2300hrs in all vaccination centres.

Maldives began COVID-19 vaccination on February 1, with the first 100,000 doses of Covishield vaccine granted to the Maldives by India. Since then, the Maldives has started administering Sinopharm and Pfizer vaccines as well.

As per the latest statistics of HPA, 273,660 people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 25,369 people have received their second dose of the vaccine. Vaccination is currently carried out in 7 centres in the Greater Male’ Area.
